Montra Partner

Bespoke launches for established projects: a token born through Montra with the rules its design needs.

Disclosure over restriction

A game whose contract mints its rewards, a token that starts with no supply, part of a supply set aside for the project, a launch fee that falls by half-lives or in steps, or over hours: designs like these can't sit among standard Montra tokens, which are trusted because every one is the same.

Montra Partner gives them a family of their own. A partner token is created by Montra's partner factory from its partner template, trades on Montra's partner hook, and is recorded in the Montra umbrella, the one registry terminals follow. It may differ from a standard token where its design needs it; rather than forbid the difference, Montra shows it: what the token can do is fixed at launch and readable on chain, reviewed by Montra in dated reviews, under a label of its own.

Three ways to launch

Each launch approved in advance, on its exact terms

Game emissions

A game or rewards contract as the token's minter. The token can start with no supply; flat fees.

Fair launch

A fixed supply, no minter, nothing allocated, and an anti-snipe launch fee on buys that falls away soon after launch.

Project launch

An optional minter, part of the supply (at most half) to the project, and an anti-snipe launch fee on buys that falls away soon after launch.

What a partner can choose

  • SupplyWhat is minted at launch, including none at all.
  • A minterOne contract, such as a game's mining contract, with a cap and optionally a rate. Fixed at launch, for good.
  • The fee scheduleFrom Montra's catalogue: flat, different for buys and sells, or a launch fee on buys that falls in a straight line, by half-lives or in steps. It never rises.
  • Where fees goAny address the project names, such as its revenue or staking contract, which it can later hand on.
  • How the market opensLiquidity locked for good through Montra's locker (a token with no supply can open with bids that buy what its miners sell), the project's own liquidity added with the launch, or both. For a set time after launch the pool can be closed to new liquidity from anyone, the project included, but Montra's locker.
  • An allocationPart of the supply to the project's own wallets, vesting or distribution contracts, each one public.

What every partner token keeps

A few rules hold for every partner token, whatever its design, and nothing a partner configures can change them.

  • Nothing refuses a sale because it is a sale or because of who sends it, and nothing can stop a liquidity provider withdrawing, or charge them for it. Every trade fills in full or not at all.
  • Fees are fixed at launch and never rise, charged in the quote asset, never in the token. A sale's fee is capped at every moment.
  • The token has no owner, no pause, no blacklist, no transfer tax, no rebasing and no upgrade.
  • A minter, if there is one, is a contract, never a personal wallet, fixed at launch, and it can never mint past its cap.
  • During a launch fee, most of what it takes above the long-run rate goes to Montra, not the project, so a project buying its own launch pays like anyone else.

How a partner launch would go

  1. First conversation

Your project, your token and what your design needs beyond a standard launch.

  2. Review

We go through your contracts and your launch's design, and agree what it discloses.

  3. Approval

Montra approves that one launch in advance, bound to its exact terms; it can be used once.

  4. Launch

Your token is created by Montra's partner factory and recorded in the Montra umbrella.

  5. Trading

It trades in its pool, labelled Montra Partner wherever the registry is followed.
